Did he make other films? Harold and Maude really had impact on me. For what ever reason, Harold and Maud had a lasting impression on me. Likely is was Ruth Gordon herself. She always had that look of knowing something no one else did.
He had to have a lot of plastic surgery after a car wreck in Poor guy. The Pope, of St. Peter's throne fame, is he Catholic? The reason why he never married or had children isn't because he's gay. I seem to recall Cort living with Groucho and having a very close friendship about which there was much speculation. His career was ruined by the car accident. By the time he was fully healed, quirky movies were out, and movies based on Tom Clancy novels were in. I do remember him from the Faerie Tale Theatre stories back in the 80s. I recall him playing a page in Rumpelstiltskin and the court musician in the Nightingale.
The court musician role was more memorable as he would gesticulate wildly 'conducting' this mechanical bird. It was very peculiar but memorable.
